You love pets and we love pets...who doesn't love pets? Animals and pets can be a huge part of our lives from having them in our families to decorating our walls with their pictures and figurines. How Pet Courtyard Helps
Before we go any further talking about charities and stuff, the first thing we have to do is mention that we're not some huge corporate entity using charity to look more sympathetic. We've all been asked to donate at the grocery store by a corporation more interested in the tax break and good publicity of charities than the actual charity itself. It leaves you with a vaguely gross taste in your mouth (which isn’t what you want when you’ve just bought a bunch of food), almost like it’s tainted by the fact that they don’t really feel it.
Our whole thing at Pet Courtyard is pets, animals, and animal lovers. We love animals as much as you do, so much so that we've built an entire animal-inspired décor line just to celebrate animals that much more. Animals are our entire brand and lives. We're invested in animals and their welfare, so it was a no-brainer for us to find ways to make animals' lives better through our store and company.
To do that, we’ve pledged to donate a percentage of every single transaction to an animal charity. That means that every time you hit "Purchase," a portion of the money you just paid to get whatever item that takes your eye goes toward making meaningful changes in an animal’s life.
Example of Our Featured Charities- Alley Cat Allies
In August of 2023, we were delighted to turn the spotlight onto Alley Cat Allies (ACA), a cat protection and improvement organization. This global engine of change for cats advocates for pet, stray, feral, and lab cats to give them the voice they don’t currently have. As a global organization with a huge variety of focuses, they're working to champion humane treatment for all cats. Their goal is to help create a world where every cat is valued and protected, and they're doing this by assisting communities to set up policies and programs to save cats' lives.

Get Involved in Highlighting Charities
Every month, we select a new charity to highlight and feature on our website. We like doing this because it brings the wide variety of awesome charities working around the world into focus, showing our customers all the great organizations working to take care of animals. Not only that, but it also gives us more ideas for where we can donate proceeds from each transaction.
But to do that, we like to get your help. You can drop us over a message telling us what charity we should highlight and donate to. Pick your favorite local organization or one a little further away and drop us a quick line about what they’re doing for animal welfare and how we can help. They could be featured as our charity of the month.
